My wish is that everyone reads!!Thank you for all who attended conferences. It was nice seeing you. I wish you a safe and healthy spring! Now that we are in the middle of the third nine weeks, are you proud of your effort? Did you achieve your goals? (Feedback welcomed)
Throughout the year, we have practiced reading strategies. My favorite reading we are currently practicing is making inferences when reading. Also, please reread everything to improve fluency! What reading strategies help you to succeed? (Feedback welcomed). I hope you are reading good books!
Since we have been busy reading nonfiction stories, what has been your favorite? Explain (Feedback welcomed). In March, we will read several poems and learn about the elements of poetry. After that, we will read the novel, Frindle.
The OAA is quickly approaching. We have been actively practicing test taking strategies to help us do our best. Strategies that will work are: rereading passages, highlighting answers, setting goals for each selection, restating questions in your answers, and having high expectations for yourself. My wish for you is that you pass the OAA and not only meet your OAA goal, but overachieve!
Now that we have received letters back from Jean Craighead George, who do you want to write to next? (Feedback welcomed). Most importantly, I wish that you respond to this blog!!
Make a wish...Mrs. Wells
